SARASOTA, FL – TheGunWriter.com announces the launch of a new, national resource for news and information about the firearms industry.
Started in 2013 as a newspaper blog site, The Gun Writer brings a powerful voice to a strong demographic focused on information about the firearms industry and sport shooting world. The new site provides extensive coverage with commentary, news, guest columns, product reviews, photo galleries, a web-based telecast as well as a calendar for Southwest Florida and national events.
“After three years, more than 1,100 stories and 5,000 comments, it is a thrill to create such comprehensive upgrades for our readers,” said Lee Williams, the founder of The Gun Writer blog. “Our singular goal is to provide easy access and a copious resource for information about our industry and sports.”
As reach of the blog and social media pages continued to grow across all regions of the United States, The Gun Writer team saw an opportunity to provide an expanded tool for its audience. The site now includes additional news features as well as advertising portals for businesses trying to reach this valuable audience.
“Our readers are the loyal, extremely savvy and demanding,“ said Williams. “We look forward to providing more thought-provoking content on an ever-increasing variety of platforms.”
Williams, an award-winning senior investigative reporter for the Herald-Tribune (Sarasota, FL), is a former police officer, an Army vet and a lifelong tactical shooter. Under his leadership, the site has received several awards including first place in the Blog/Online Commentary category for two consecutive years by the Florida Society of News Editors.
The Gun Writer will maintain its news focus and expand in the coming months with new features as well as event offerings, hosting a Clay Shoot later this Fall that will benefit a youth shooting charity.
The Gun Writer team is led by veteran journalist Lee Williams. The site is dedicated to news and information about the firearms industry and sport shooting world. For more information, visit TheGunWriter.com.
