Be still my beating heart… this may be the best looking 10/22 SBR that I have seen yet. With a folding stock to boot!

I have mentioned in the past about the rumors floating around of Ruger developing a shotgun… well, TFB has gleaned this valuable piece of information from Ruger’s CEO on their most recent earnings conference call:
” … we are hard at work on shotguns, and that’s one of those projects that should have been a year, and now it’s multiple years into the making. But I’m sure we will bring them to market one day soon.”
… nothing to write home a blog post about. But in a rare moment of blogging, RTB does just that… Ruger Unveils TEN New Products Ahead of SHOT Show

Unleaded Ink has a great look at the Ruger SR22 (great pics too)

I got to play with one a little while back… and it exceeded my expectations.

I have mentioned it a few times in the past, but Tom (of My Gun Culture fame) has put together a custom Ruger 10/22 to raise money for Soldier’s Angels. Well, the build is finally complete and the rifle can be had right now on Gun Broker.
Ruger is reporting that on August 15th of this year they produced their 1 millionth gun. Their yearly record was 1,114,700 firearms set back in 2011. That one millionth gun produced was a SR1911 that will be hand engraved and auctioned off to support the NRA.
I got the opportunity to go to the range with a few family members over the weekend… we put a bunch of rounds down range, I got to shoot a couple of new guns, and overall we had a really great time.
I mentioned on the Facebooks a while back that my sister-in-law bought her first gun not too long ago… a Ruger SR22. Well, this was the first time that I actually had the opportunity to run it. Continue reading
