Dear gun blogs…

David Letterman Top 10 List

Please [pretty please] stop doing ‘Top 10′ lists. Its really starting to be a shark-jump type of situation. Just to cite a few examples as of late…

And I kid you not, thats just the tip of the old iceberg.

Whambalance

Now, for the “please dont get butt-hurt” portion of all of this…

Look, I’m not bashing the posts themselves – there is usually a lot of really good content in them – I am just getting burned-out on the style in which the content is being delivered. I know, I know. Its a lot easier to just bullet point things and throw the post up…. but please, just take an extra fifteen minutes and write it out into a traditional style blog post instead of just putting it in the ‘Top 10′ style. Its really starting to wear thin.

*Yes, I know that I too have been guilty of this, and I too will try to lessen the shark-jumps I make around here as well.

Thanks,

– Your humble blog keeper.

  1. While I agree the Top X lists can be overused, people tend to read them, share them and link to them more than other kinds of articles. I can’t blame people for doing them.
