Catherine Stefani, head of Cali Moms Demand Action, is just another professional gun grabber…

Alternate Headline: Career stop.

Catherine Stefani has an article up over at the SacBee talking about how she became the head of the Kaliforniastan chapter of Moms Demand Action… Its not much more than a shameless plug and link bait for the civilian disarmament cult, but I thought it was pretty interesting for a couple of reasons… one, I had never heard of Catherine Stefani before this and two, I thought it was incredibly interesting how she talks about how she became involved in MDA:

As a mother of two children, nothing is more important than ensuring my son and daughter grow up in a safe community. That’s why, after 26 innocent students and teachers died in the senseless tragedy in Newtown, Conn., I could no longer remain silent. I joined Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America

OK – so you are just a stay at home, PTA/soccer mom type who is so concerned about her own children that you decided to volunteer and do what you can to help make the world a better place for your two kids? Kinda like Moms Against Drunk Driving or something, right? You are just a non-political person who wants to get involved and you are so passionate about your community that they moved you right to the top of the charts and let you head the Cali brand of MDA?

Just a simple and quick Google search turned up who Catherine Stefani really is… She is NOT the PTA super mom that the MDA playbook tries to tell us they all are. She is infact a Legislative Aide for Supervisor Mark Ferrell, a former Policy Analyst for Vice Mayor Cindy Chavez at City of San Jose. a former Deputy District Attorney at Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, and an attorney and former prosecutor.

Catherine Stefani is a legislative aide to Supervisor Mark E. Farrell in San Francisco where she works on various public policy issues. Catherine is an attorney who began her legal career as a prosecutor in Contra Costa County. She later developed, hosted and produced FOR THE RECORD, a live call-in television show that focused on educating viewers about various legal issues. The East Bay Business Times named Catherine to the “40 under 40 List” recognizing young leaders in the East Bay community.

Catherine received her B.A. in Government from St. Mary’s College of California. She then spent a year in Japan teaching English and continued on to receive her Juris Doctor Degree and LL.M in Government and Public Policy from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Catherine also served as a legislative analyst for Assemblyman Herb Wesson, a policy analyst for Vice Mayor Cindy Chavez of San Jose and a legislative aide to Supervisor Alioto-Pier. Catherine serves on the Board of Directors of the Homeless Prenatal Program. She is also the California Chapter Leader for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. She is the mother of two children, ages 9 and 4, an avid runner and soon to be triathlete.

She was also a 2010 Democrat Candidate for San Francisco county Assembly and former Former Board member of the League of Women Voters. Her list of key endorsements for political office tells you everything you need to know about how radical a liberal she really is.

She is a blue-blooded, far left wing liberal who loves her some civilian disarmament. What better place for a professional gun grabber than MDA, right?

  1. How do these people live with themselves? I can’t imagine the cognitive dissonance going on in their heads. Disclaimer: I am a liberal, I own many different guns. My 12 yr old regularly goes to the range with me, and both he and his younger brother know that these are tools, not toys. My boys don’t run around with my hammers hitting people either.

They (my guns) are all locked up except for my EDC.

Why in the world would these people put so much energy into trying to disarm other than personal financial gain? Moving up to the next step on the political ladder, playing on ignorance and misinformation to secure their next rung up.
Yet another one that I’ll pledge to not defend if she/he needs it.

  2. Yeah, and we know she never has any ARMED security around her. It’s ok for her, just not for the rest of us? What a hypocrite!
Lady, you should be ashamed of yourself! It’s folks like you and the rest of the moms demand bunch that make it harder to keep my kids safe!
